American Kenpo Karate Techniques: Learn Kempo
American Kenpo Karate, sometimes called Kempo, is a martial art that involves striking the opponent with a swift combination of numerous punches, kicks, and knife hand blows to completely incapacitate an opponent. It was developed by Ed Parker over the years between 1950 and 1990. Parker first learned Kenpo in Hawaii and over the years included many aspects of Chinese martial arts and jiu jitsu, changed Asian terminologies for American, and instructed many students including a man named Joe Palanzo. Palanzo operated the only East Coast Ed Parker Kenpo school from 1970 until 1990 when Ed Parker passed away. Now Mr. Palanzo is a tenth degree black belt in Kenpo, president of the World Wide Kenpo Karate Association, and is recognized as the foremost expert of American Kenpo.
